This vehicle has been designed and developed by SsangYong to deliver everything that a prospective buyer would look for in this segment. Powertrain

SsangYong provides the potential customers of its Rexton SUV only one engine option. The vehicle’s 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor puts out 178 bhp and 295 lb. ft. of torque. However, buyers have a better choice when it comes to the gearbox, as the Rexton can be ordered with either a 6 speed manual transmission or a slick 7 speed automatic gearbox that is sourced from Mercedes-Benz.

Thanks to this powertrain, the vehicle can tow a braked trailer that weighs up to 7,700 lb, and it can hit a top speed of 119 mph in its manual guise (116 mph if it’s paired with the automatic transmission).

Safety

SsangYong has made efforts to ensure that the Rexton SUV is a safe vehicle by including features such as multiple airbags, electronic stability control, active rollover protection, ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), parking sensors at the front and rear, keyless entry, wing mirrors that are heated, hill descent control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
