Cadillac provides the prospective customers of its CT6 sedan several engine options to choose between. The bottom two trim levels are driven by a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged motor that puts out 265 hp. Two V6 engines follow: a 3.6 liter, 335 hp unit and a 3.0 liter, turbocharged, 404 hp motor. The car also has a plug-in hybrid version that combines the 2.0 liter engine with two electric motors to generate a total system output of 335 hp but still manages to run 31 miles on electric power alone. 8 speed automatic transmissions are standard on all versions of the CT6 apart from the plug-in hybrid, which has a CVT automatic.

The Caddy CT6 is quite a safe vehicle as well, as it gets automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, a night vision camera, a head-up display (HUD), multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, auto brake hold, rain-sensing wipers, an automatic parking system, electronic stability control, and surround view cameras.
