Established 115 years ago in 1902, Cadillac is one of the oldest car brands on the planet, and the second oldest make in the United States. The only American vehicle maker older than Caddy is Buick, which also happens to be owned by the General Motors group.
The company has its headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Apart from being one of America’s premium auto makers, Cadillac also has other notable achievements in the history of motoring, such as having introduced full electrical systems and a clash-less manual gearbox. The company also made waves with its V8 gasoline engine, which set the standard that most of the American vehicle industry soon followed.

Cadillac Sedans
Sedans are what Cadillac is known for, and luxurious ones at that, too. Four Cadillac sedans are currently on sale in the United States, and the easiest on the wallet to buy is the Cadillac ATS, which can be yours for $34,595. For a premium of $3,000 over the sedan, the ATS can be ordered as a two-door coupe as well.
Next up is the Cadillac CTS, a sedan that’s larger than the ATS and priced from a touch below $46,000. This vehicle has a lot of sporty credentials thanks to its powertrain, and it certainly also looks the part with all of its sharp edges and angular design. If comfort is what you’re looking for, you could go for the Cadillac XTS. This car costs $45,595 and, for that money, you could indulge yourself in absolute comfort that made Caddy the car maker it is today.
The most expensive standard sedan that Cadillac sells as of now is the CT6 sedan which is priced just below $54,000 onwards. The car has American luxury written all over it on the exterior and the interior is brilliantly appointed as well. The Cadillac CT6 is also available as a plug-in hybrid model.
Cadillac SUVs
As of now, Cadillac has two SUVs in its model range in the U.S. the smaller one is the Cadillac XT5, which is a crossover that is priced from $39,395 onwards. The SUV that the company is actually known for is their big, imposing, full-size SUV, the $73,395 Cadillac Escalade. This vehicle, with its massive on-road presence and its powerful V8 engine, has won numerous awards throughout its production life.
Cadillac Sportscars
Cadillac does not have any bespoke sportscars. Instead, the company has taken three of its existing models and tuned them up to squeeze out a lot more in the performance department.
These vehicles are sold as the V-Series models. At present, Caddy has the ATS-V two-door coupe, ATS-V sedan and the CTS-V in their sportscar portfolio, and their prices range from $60,695 to nearly $86,000.
Cadillac Sales and Special Offers
The cumulative sales of Cadillac during the month of July 2017 in the United States market took a hit. The number of vehicles sold by the company last month was 11,227 units, which was a drop of 21.7% from the 14,341 units sold in July 2016. However, the strong sales performance of the brand in the Chinese automotive market, an increase of over 37%, made up for the decline in the United States market as Cadillac’s global July sales figure rose by 1.8%.
To put Cadillac vehicles within closer reach of a wider section of prospective car buyers, the company offers a variety of leasing plans and low APR financing options on all Cadillac models currently in the showrooms. In addition to this, Caddy will also assist in trading-in your existing car and applying for credit to purchase a new Cadillac through GM Financial Services.
