One of Chevy’s most popular models in this segment is the Chevrolet Equinox, which is slotted in below the larger Traverse and above the Trax crossovers. The Equinox has a lot going for it in terms of the powertrain, features, and everything else that a modern day car buyer expects.

Chevrolet provides the potential buyers of its Equinox crossover with the option of choosing between the following engine options: a 1.6 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor that produces 137 hp, a 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that makes 170 hp, and a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine that puts out 252 hp.

While the 1.6 liter and 1.5 liter engines come paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission, the 2.0L motor is connected to a 9 speed automatic gearbox.

Buyers can also specify their vehicle with AWD.

The list of safety features in this car include a rear view camera, reverse parking assist, forward collision warning, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, lane change alert, surround vision cameras, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability control that Chevy calls StabiliTrak, and multiple airbags located throughout the passenger cabin.
