The Ford Edge is stacked full of features such as automatic projector headlights, LED tail lamps, dual zone automatic climate control, ambient interior illumination that uses LEDs, four 12 volt power outlets, an optional remote ignition start system, a front camera with split view and a 12 speaker audio system from Sony.

The navigation system of the car is voice activated, and the car also comes with a touchscreen infotainment display, support for SiriusXM satellite radio, optional rear seat entertainment system, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, and leather- trimmed front seats that can be either heated or cooled. As a paid extra, Ford Edge owners can also have rear seats that can be heated or cooled.
Powertrain
Depending on the trim level you choose, Ford will equip your Edge with either a 2.0 liter, turbocharged, 4 cylinder EcoBoost engine that produces 245 hp; a 2.7 liter, turbocharged EcoBoost V6 motor that puts out 315 hp; or a 3.5 liter V6 engine that makes 280 hp.

Certain trim levels are equipped with front wheel drive, and all wheel drive is available as an optional extra. In addition to their grunt and fuel efficiency, the Edge when driven by the 2.0L and 3.5L engines can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
All versions of the Ford Edge are kitted out with a 6 speed automatic transmission. However, the gearbox connected to the 2.0L variant is a sport-tuned unit. Buyers also have the option specifying their car with wheel that range in size from 18 inches to a massive 21 inches.
Safety
To make the Edge SUV as safe as possible, Ford has given it multiple airbags, a post-crash SOS mechanism, tyre pressure monitoring, a reversing camera, heated wing mirrors, blind spot warning, rain sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, collision warning with brake support, cross traffic alert, and lane keeping assist.

The active park assist system of the Ford Edge can aid in parking the car in both parallel and perpendicular orientations. The car also comes with the Ford MyKey, which can be used by the owner to restrict the car’s top speed and activate other additional security parameters should another person be driving the car.
