Lamborghini Stock Images – Supercars, Convertibles, and One-offs
If there was ever an automobile manufacturer that didn’t need an introduction, it would probably be Lamborghini. The company has always been known for their high performance, highly demanding supercars and hypercars. Lamborghini was the company that, among other things, set the norm for high performance vehicles to be configured with a mid-engined, rear wheel drive layout. This setup has been followed by the vast majority of other sportscars and supercars from the mid-1960s till date.

Lamborghini was established in the small Northern Italian town of Sant’Agata Bolognese 54 years ago in 1963. The company’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, set up the company to rival other established sportscar brands, especially Ferrari. Lamborghini has always been known for their radical approach to automotive design which has set them apart from almost every other vehicle maker on the planet.
Lamborghini’s product portfolio has always been filled with supercars that have outrageous and outlandish design, causing them to have an almost cult following. Lambos have adorned everything from bedroom walls as posters to history books.
The company is also widely regarded as the maker of the first true sportscar in the modern sense of the word, the Lamborghini Miura, which was the fastest production vehicle in the world when it first rolled out from the company’s production facility.

Lamborghini Supercars
Lamborghini Supercars
Lamborghini’s model fleet currently includes two of the best supercars the company has ever made. The first is the smaller, easier to handle Lamborghini Huracan. Built as a replacement for their most sold model, the Gallardo, the Huracan was designed to be driveable by regular people who have had no extra training or racing experience. Multiple trim levels of the Huracan are on sale today, to cater to as wide an audience as possible.
The other current supercar in the company’s model range is the more serious Lamborghini Aventador. The car was built with extensive use of carbon fiber to make it as light as possible, and then Lambo went ahead and used a 6.5 liter V12 motor that pounds out almost 700 hp to power it. The result is a hypercar that can do 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and can hit speeds of above 220 mph. Not to mention that the Aventador looks like it came straight from the future!
Lamborghini Convertibles
Both the cars mentioned above can be bought in convertible versions as well. While the Huracan Spyder has a fabric roof that deploys or folds away at the touch of a button, the Aventador Roadster has a regular roof which has to be manually fitted or removed. Lamborghini could not fit in a folding roof for the Aventador due to the unique shape it has been designed with.
Lamborghini One-offs and Concepts
Lamborghini has always had a history of producing one-off cars and limited editions. As of now, the company has two such models: the 759 hp Lamborghini Centenario, a car that was created to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini; and the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, which went on sale for almost $ 4 million.
Lambo has two concept cars at the moment, one of which could become the company’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle, the Asterion. In addition to this vehicle, the company also has been working on developing a 4 seater sportscar, the Lamborghini Estoque.
