Lexus GS F Review: Pictures, Specs, Price, and More

Lexus, the makers of the Lexus GS F Luxury Sports Sedan, is known mostly as a manufacturer of sumptuously appointed, technology rich luxury cars. However, they are also adept at rolling out some fantastically sporty vehicles. Over the years, their model fleet has included icons such as the Lexus LFA, a car made with fastidious attention to detail and performance figures that could send several other sports cars running for cover. One such current model of Lexus that is equally at home on city roads and on the racetrack is the GS F sedan.

Lexus GS F Features

Being a Lexus, the GS F is extremely well kitted out. In addition to its features, there are a lot of aspects in this car that hint at both luxury and sportiness. For instance, you’ll notice that the seats are upholstered in rich, perforated leather but there are carbon fiber inserts in the dashboard and centre console. There is a generous helping of high end fabrics such as Alcantara as well.

Lexus GS F Powertrain

Under its hood is a naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 that pounds out 467 hp and 389 lb. ft. of torque. The engine is hooked up to an 8 speed automatic. The 0-60 mph dash is dispatched in just 4.5 seconds, and the car even has a dedicated mode to be used when being driven in snowy conditions.

On a track, Lexus claims that this sedan can hit a top speed of 168 mph. To ensure that all that power has a secure way of being reeled in, Lexus has given the GS F high performance brakes from Brembo.

Safety

The list of safety features in this car include ABS with EBD and brake assist, 10 airbags located throughout the interior, electronic stability control, rear cross traffic monitoring, blind spot warning, parking assist, and a reversing camera. The front seats have been specially designed to reduce the risk of whiplash in the event of a rear-end collision.
