Maserati Stock Images – Sedans, Sports Cars and SUVs
Italian car makers have always been known for their flair for cars and the beautiful way they build them. One company that manages to hold its own even in this group is Maserati. The company has launched several sedans and sportscars that may have been a bit impractical, but are an absolute joy to look at and drive. Maserati has also heeded the call of changing times, and they have recently expanded their product range to include their first ever SUV.

Maserati was founded in the Italian town of Bologna well over a century ago in the year 1914, but it is now headquartered in Modena, a town which is famous for also serving as the home of Ferrari. Right from its beginning, the company focussed on having a blend of luxury and sportiness in their vehicles. Over the years, the Maserati badge has been featured on several iconic cars, and the company itself has changed hands quite a few times. As of today, Maserati is owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).

Maserati Sedans
The sedan range of Maserati starts with the Ghibli, a mid-size luxury sedan that is priced just north of the $72,000 mark. Powering it is a 3.0 liter, twin turbocharged V6 motor that is tuned to deliver either 345 hp or 404 hp, depending on the trim level. Interested buyers can also have their Maserati Ghibli equipped with all wheel drive (AWD).
The company’s flagship model for many years now has been the stunning and mesmerising Maserati Quattroporte. The three trim levels that this car is available in are priced between $104,400 and $147,000. Two engine options are available to Quattroporte buyers: a 3.0 liter, twin turbo V6 that makes 404 hp and a 3.8 liter, twin turbocharged V8 that belts out 523 hp. In addition to looking formidable, this car is also very well kitted out in terms of features. Basically, if you buy one of these, you get one of the coolest cars that money can buy today.
Maserati Sportscars
For a figure just short of the $133,000 mark, Maserati will sell you a combination of luxury and performance loaded with typical Italian panache. The vehicle in question is the Maserati GranTurismo. Under its hood is a 4.7 liter V8 that delivers a potent 454 hp to the car’s wheels. Maserati has refined the car’s aerodynamics as well, so that it handles brilliantly in the corners.
However, if you crave the wind-in-your-hair motoring experience while driving a GranTurismo, Maserati will sell you the GranTurismo Convertible with its folding fabric roof, for a premium. It has the same engine as the hardtop GranTurismo but, its output varies between 444 hp and 454 hp in different trim levels. Prices for this vehicle, which is called the GranCabrio outside the U.S., range between $145,740 and $182,000.
Maserati SUVs
Currently, Maserati has only one SUV on offer. This vehicle, the Maserati Levante, is also the first SUV that the company has manufactured. Priced at from just over $73,000 onwards, the Levante comes with a 3.0 liter V6 engine that is boosted by two turbos to produce 345 hp or 424 hp. For go-anywhere capability, Maserati has also equipped this SUV with all wheel drive (AWD).
Maserati Sales and Offers
Maserati’s sales in the United States market improved strongly last month, having registered sales of 1,063 units in July 2017. This represents a rise of over 31% from the 811 vehicles that were sold in July last year.
As Maserati does not have a manufacturing or assembly plant in the USA, all their vehicles sold in the North American region are fully imported from the company’s production facility in Italy. Prospective Maserati buyers can apply for credit and choose from leasing plans that are tailored specifically for each Maserati model.
