Mini was a British make that was famous for their pint sized city cars. However, after German automotive major BMW acquired the rights to the struggling Mini brand and turned it around to what it is today, the company has become a totally different entity altogether. The Mini is now renowned for their selection of agile, powerful, and fun to drive cars.

The Mini brand was established in 1969 in England, UK. However, the name had been in use on other models since the late 50’s onwards.
At the outset, the Mini was designed and developed with the vision of being an inexpensive to own and maintain small car for the masses to use on city commutes. The vehicle was initially a product of the British Motor Corporation, which went on to become the famous British Leyland a few years later in the late 60’s.
After going through a rough patch, Mini eventually became a fully owned subsidiary of BMW at the turn of the century. The company now manufactures cars which even participate in various motorsports events. Even as early as the 60’s, Mini had tasted success in multiple rally championships including the prominent Monte Carlo Rally.

Mini Hatchbacks
The Mini hatchback range starts with the Mini Cooper two door hardtop. This funky hatchback with its contrast roof and cheeky exterior may be a whole lot bigger in every dimension when compared to the original Mini, but it is just as fun to drive today as the original was back in the days. You can make one of these your very own for a price that’s just shy of the $22,000 mark.
For an extra $5,000, Mini will get rid of the hardtop contrast roof and fit a fabric roof instead. The soft-top roof can be deployed or retracted in a matter of mere seconds at the push of a button inside the passenger cabin. However, if you want to have the brilliant experience of driving a Mini product, but you also require extra space inside for 4 fully grown adults, you could have the Mini Cooper 4-door hardtop for $22,600.
Mini Crossovers
Currently, the crossover segment of Mini has two models. For $26,600, the company will sell you the Mini Countryman. This crossover boasts of more interior space and luggage capacity than its rivals, and buyers can even spec it with four wheel drive.
Buyers in this segment have another option from Mini for a price just short of $25,000 in the form of the Mini Clubman. The Clubman is the largest vehicle to have come from the stables of Mini and it can comfortably ferry around 5 occupants and a good amount of cargo. The vehicle was designed to be performance oriented as well, so it definitely isn’t a slouch.
Mini Sportscars
Some models of Mini have an S badge, signifying that they’re sportier than other standard Minis. However, for even more edgy performance, you can have your Mini tuned in-house by Mini’s legendary tuning division, John Cooper Works (JCW). These models are kitted out with more powerful engines, upgraded parts such as improved brakes and suspension, and aero kits to make them perform way better than practically any other car in its class.
