The Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible only has one engine option. Its iconic rear mounted engine is a 3.0 liter, 6 cylinder unit that pounds out 370 hp and 331 lb. ft. of torque. The drive is channelled either through a 7 speed manual transmission or a 7 speed, twin clutch, PDK automatic gearbox to the rear wheels.
This powertrain is capable of propelling the 911 Carrera Cabriolet from rest to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds when equipped with the manual gearbox and 4.4 seconds with the PDK automatic. If Porsche’s Sport Chrono pack is installed in the automatic car, the 0-60 mph time is further slashed to 4.2 seconds. Top speed is in the ballpark of 180 mph.
