Ram Trucks Stock Images – Pick-Up Trucks, and Vans

Ram Trucks is one of those brands that is an integral part of Americana. The company was a part of the Dodge marque but broke away in 2010 to concentrate on making its line of mid-weight pick-up trucks and commercial vans. The company is now a fully owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Ram Trucks targets its vehicles at buyers who need pick-up trucks for regular utilitarian purposes.

Although the company technically came into existence only 7 years ago in 2010, Ram Trucks has carved out a niche for itself in the American market.

The split between Dodge and Ram Trucks was structured after the company’s takeover by FCA. This was done so that Dodge and Ram could individually focus on making vehicles in their areas of focus and expertise. They now sell their vehicles in several markets in North and South America, Europe, certain Middle Eastern countries including the UAE, Yemen, and Kuwait, amongst others.

Ram Trucks has its headquarters in Michigan, U.S., and it manufactures its vehicles in three locations. The first of these is in Warren, Michigan State, where they now produce only the Ram 1500 Series trucks. The vast majority of the Ram Trucks product portfolio is manufactured at the company’s Saltillo production facility in Mexico.

For the European market, Ram Trucks operates out of its plant in Bursa, Turkey.

Ram Pick-Up Trucks

These are the vehicles that Ram Trucks’ very fundamentals are built on. Prospective buyers have four options to choose from in this category: the Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, and the Ram Chassis Cab. The Ram 1500 is the only half-ton pick-up truck that is also available on sale with a diesel engine. Prices for the 1500 Series starts from $26,495 onwards.

Next up is the Ram 2500, a more powerful version that will set you back by a little over $32,000. The most powerful pick-up truck that Ram makes is their 3500 Series truck. This vehicle has been designed to take heavy lifting duties in its stride, even on the long haul. The Ram 3500 can accommodate a payload of nearly 7,400 lb. on its loading bed and it can tow a maximum weight of over 31,000 lb.

The company also makes a cab-only version of the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks, which can be custom-ordered to be fitted with attachments such as a flat bed or a tipper, etc.

Ram Vans

For use in commercial transportation, Ram Trucks will sell you either the Ram ProMaster or the Ram ProMaster City. While the former is designed to ferry about large amounts of cargo, the latter is a smaller van that is ideally suited for transporting goods within city routes.
