Skoda also includes thoughtful touches such as handsfree tailgate opening, and a plastic door edge protector that ejects automatically when the door is opened to prevent dents and scratches.

Potential buyers of the Skoda Kodiaq have several gasoline and diesel engine options to choose from. The engine line-up starts with a 1.4 liter, turbocharged gasoline motor in two states of tune, producing either 123 bhp or 148 bhp. Following up is a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that is tuned to generate either 148 bhp or 187 bhp.

Depending on the engine chosen, the Kodiaq will have either a 6 speed manual gearbox, a 6 speed double clutch DSG automatic or a 7 speed twin clutch DSG automatic transmission. customers also have the option of selecting front wheel drive or all wheel drive.
